Hey, I’m Parsa 👋 an entrepreneur and tinkerer focused on AI research and product development since 2011.

I live in Buckinghamshire, UK with my fiancée Sarah and our two dogs Lava and Bug. I’m originally from Iran, and since leaving Iran in 2010, I have lived in China, Ireland, and the UK.

Previously, I founded and led AYLIEN—a VC-backed NLP-as-a-service and news intelligence startup I launched in 2013. Our customers included Wells Fargo, Microsoft, IBM, and Deloitte, and the company was acquired by Quantexa in 2023, where I served as Head of Product Innovation until June 2025.

I’m passionate about building products that expand human capability, especially when they’re useful, elegant, and fun to use. Outside of software, I’m deeply curious about the human body, and often go down rabbit holes in immunology and medical imaging. Despite spending most of my career in AI, I don’t think of myself as a specialist, rather as a lifelong generalist.

I enjoy road cycling 🚴, running 🏃, reading 📚, and playing the electric guitar 🎸. In 2025 I’ve been learning Latin and studying Roman history.
