Hey there, I’m Parsa 👋 I’m an entrepreneur/researcher/tinkerer focused on machine learning, NLP, and news intelligence. I live in Buckinghamshire, UK with my fiancée Sarah and our two dogs Lava and Bug. I’m originally from Iran, and since leaving Iran in 2010, I have lived in China, Ireland, and the UK.
Previously, I was CEO and founder of AYLIEN—an NLP-as-a-service and news intelligence startup I launched in 2013. Our customers included Wells Fargo, Microsoft, IBM, and Deloitte, and the company was acquired by Quantexa in 2023, where I currently serve as Head of Innovation.
I’m passionate about leveraging AI and innovation to have a positive impact on the world, mostly through building software products that people enjoy using. I’m also deeply curious about the human body and love exploring immunology and imaging technologies like MRI. I’ve spent most of my career building AI-powered products, but I’m not a specialist in anything other than in being a generalist and a lifelong learner. :)
I enjoy road cycling 🚴, running 🏃, reading 📚, and playing the electric guitar 🎸. In 2025 I’m learning the Latin language, and studying Roman history.
